River City Girls 2 takes the series to the next level. More frantic fights and devastating combos, the game is a real improvement. The soundtrack is wonderful and you really have a good time. But we won't lie, the game is still expensive and suffers from loading, at least for the version on Nintendo Switch. If you're considering getting it, you might want to consider another version. Unless you don't mind. But know that having tested it on another console, the game probably would have deserved an extra half point. The fact remains that River City Girls 2 is a lot of fun, whether you're playing alone or with your buddies.

Shovel Knight Dig is a great little game. Small in length but big in quality. It's easy to start a game for a few minutes and come back to it later. It's also easy to lose yourself in a couple of more minutes of gameplay. Once again, a great success from Yacht Club Games that we highly recommend.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 returns the series to its former glory. I pretty much disliked Vanguard, but this one does much better. We totally understand why the community is so passionate and critical about this new release. After all, Activision delivers bestsellers year after year and, in our opinion, this one will be no exception.

The game itself will speak to a very niche group. Because, as everyone knows, metal music is not the most popular thing in the world. But for those who like it, I can tell you that you will have a great time. The game is still short for its price but the interest is always to improve your score in this type of game. After a very successful first book, we are more than happy to find our little mouse for a new adventure. Keeping the basics that made the first game a success, Moss: Book 2 takes us even further. We quickly see that Polyarc has made the most of PSVR and that it is undoubtedly one of the last good titles on the platform before its future iteration. I hope the studio will continu its great work during Sony's PSVR2 era, because they've proven once again that they're the best at it. It's an absolute must-have for any holder of the virtual reality headset. As long as you still have a PS4 controller if you play on PS5.

Stray is the perfect game to rest. Be in a trance and let yourself be guided by the path in front of you. The game does not ask its player to put himself in a stressful situation. This is not too much in a world where there are many sources of stress and conflict. The puzzles are relatively easy for young and old alike. Well, we agree that if the game asked us to embody a dog it would be even better. Who knows, maybe the idea is already germinating in the studio's head. For now, we'll just purr and bend our backs. DiRT 5 is a good game. Not the best of the series, but far from the worst. It is excessively beautiful and a whole lot of fun. It will please the fan of racing games, but mostly the ones that just like to play from time to time. Those looking for realism will probably pass on that one.

After an impressive start to the year with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, the momentum continues. Helldivers 2 is incredibly fun, action-packed and full of highlights. You'll have the time of your life with the soldiers you meet on your adventures. Battlefields will be filled with scenes worthy of the best cinematics, and memories will be made. While Helldivers I wasn't as successful as Helldivers II, it's good to see that this one has been a hit since its release. Now we'll just have to see what the future holds. Because between you and me, Helldivers 2 could easily take the top spot in terms of hours spent on a game this year. It's enough to keep my interest renewed on a fairly regular basis. So it's in the studio's hands to stay relevant at all times. But for now, the game is fantastic. And that's what I'll remember in the end. Long live democracy!

In conclusion, Spike Chunsoft delivers another excellent murder mystery that adds a good layer of renewal. If you like Danganronpa, AI The Somnium Files or Zero Espace, Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE is right up your alley. It's a game full of twists and turns, aimed at a mature audience with a taste for wacky adventures. It's an easy recommendation to make, and brings yet more variety to the Nintendo Switch's library of exclusive games.

To say that The Mageseeker is a great surprise would be an understatement in my case. Knowing absolutely nothing about the world of League of Legends, I loved my time with Sylas, so much so that I would be tempted to extend my adventure of this world with other media. Let's face it, it's quite a universe and it's because of games like this and the excellent work of the developer teams that there will always be more followers. An excellent adventure in general that should please many players. Not to be missed if you already like League of Legends, and to be discovered if you don't.

What Fika Production has achieved with Ship of Fools is far from obvious, namely to reinvent itself in a genre that has taken a lot of space in the last few years. The game will catch you by its presentation as well as its frenzied rhythm during the games. If you can play it with two people, it's even better. But the adventure itself is worth the effort if you like roguelike games. And that's good because I love it. If that's the case for you, there's no reason not to fall in love with Ship of Fools!

Tactics Ogre: Reborn pays an excellent tribute to a game that is seen as a reference of the genre. Square Enix found ways to make its title more approachable which is great for newcomers. Although the fights can be very long, the game remains to this day one of the best TRPG. Yes, they could've done a lot more, but it's already a big step in the right direction.

Kaze and the Wild Masks first seems like just another platformer. But then as you keep playing, you find so much joy and a lot of ressemblances with the best in the genre. We wouldn't go as far as saying it's a simple copy, but rather a nice nod to what made these games so great. Nier Replicant ver. 1.22474487139 is a beautiful take on the original game. The story is compelling and the soundtrack really takes over the game and brings it to another level. Prince of Persia: The Last Crown is a pleasant surprise for the new year. While January is usually synonymous with quiet, gamers have instead got a game of the highest quality to sink their teeth into. We're talking about a game with an excellent lifespan, that's easy to get to, and that restores a much-needed license to a much-needed studio. With more titles to come over the course of the year, we very much hope that Prince of Persia is a harbinger of quality.

Some of you may find the game more challenging, as the comparison with Chrono Trigger is strong. And when it comes to nostalgia, not everyone will agree. But if you take the game for what it is, you're in for a real treat. Rare are the games of this genre in recent years that have had such an effect on me, the closest being Chained Echoes. But Sea of Stars is everything you could want in a role-playing game. It's beautiful, it's gripping, it's enjoyable from start to finish. Well, as of today, it lacks the Quebec narrative. On The Messenger, it was hilarious. But given that this will be available by the end of the year, there's very little to reproach the game for. A few occasional technical glitches, but otherwise nothing to complain about. Sea of Stars will be on several lists of the best games of 2023, and with good reason. Don't be surprised if it takes top spot on several of them.

It's hard not to suggest Oxenfree II: Lost Signals after all that's been said, isn't it? It's only natural: the game has a depth of storytelling and atmosphere not often found in video games. You become attached to the characters, to their lives, to what they've become and also to what they're going to become. And all this depends solely on you and the decisions you make on your journey. If, of course, you make it out alive.
