Ubisoft has Prince of Persia returned with a completelt new look and feel. The world of this metroidvania is huge and there is a lot to do. That also means a lot of running, climbing and fighting, but not a lot of depth unfortunately. Also there are a few misses opportunities. Still, this is a game you surely have to play this year!

Disney Illusion Island is an entertaining game, whether you play alone or with up to four friends. The platforming action is smooth and flawless from the start and you don't even miss defeating enemies. The only cons here are the small screen of the Switch and the little flaws in the co-op mode.

Sonic Frontiers is a bold new move for our favourite hedgehog. The open worlds give a sense of freedom and there is a lot to do. Unfortunately the most of it is the mandatory collecting of a lot of stuff to progress through the game. The controls feel good, but at higher speeds they won't always work and the camera is a total disaster. This makes the game way less enjoyable than it should be.

After 30 years the game proves to be relevant still. Of course with a few tweaks like better graphics and a completely overhauled menu to make the game feel more inviting and balanced. There even is a new gameplay element added to it! It is not the perfect remake, but one you should try!

The Chant offers a mix of horror you don't see often in games. It combines survival-horror with elements that could come straight out of a H.P. Lovecraft book. Besides a few flaws the game looks great and the gameplay keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way. The gameplay could use a bit more depth, especially the combat and the skill tree and sometimes you miss a bit of balance. Still, if you start this game, be ready for a ride that keeps the blood pressure going up and down.

Bayonetta 3 is not a perfect game. It doesn’t look as good as possible nowadays, bit makes you forget about that really fast. The action is bizarre, stylish and fast paced and the game offers enough variation to make you enjoy it for tens of hours.

Shredder's Revenge is therefore a game that with its many nods to the past is mainly intended for the fan and feels almost perfect for them. The game has everything from nostalgia to good, new additions. The game misses the finishing touches here and there, but the biggest problem is the chaos that arises in multiplayer and a few missed opportunities. At the bottom of the line, this is a game that is entertaining for everyone, but will not be equally special for everyone.

Due to this lack, The Centennial Case is therefore not recommended for the full price of 50 euros. Now it's the hypotheses that make you think before you point out a culprit, but if the puzzling around it had been just a little more exciting, then this game would have come out much stronger. All the other elements in the game are very well worked out and will not get bored for a moment. With an offer, this is therefore an absolute must for anyone who loves a good mystery.

The Quarry isn't perfect due to some technical flaws and quick time events that are too easy. Nevertheless, The Quarry is a joy to play thanks to a great story and a fantastic cast of characters. This is a must-play for everyone that enjoys a good horror story.

Wonder Boy Collection is a cool collection of four games. The games are all unique for their time and thus have something to add. Although one of the games has not aged well and one other has just gotten a remake last year, the collection is still one to play. It will give you tons of hours of gameplay!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a great adventure that's great to play. The colorful design brings this 3D Kirby adventure to life, while additions like the mouthful powers add are a fun new twist to the gameplay. It's a shame the co-op is a bit poor due to player 2 not getting the full range of powers. Nonetheless, this is a Kirby game that is worth your time!

Despite not being able to play the game online, we had a lot of fun with the other options. And while it's a shame that the storyline isn't very extensive, that doesn't apply to the offering. The very fact that each character works completely differently is a breath of fresh air in a landscape of clones and makes the game feel like a complete package. Measuring against the two currently occupying the throne isn't happening yet, but if you're simply looking for a good game of fighting with some depth, then you've come to the right place!

Despite the fact that Chocobo GP looks nice and the many characters are original with unique abilities and own vehicles, the game is otherwise mainly borrowed from the other tracers. Fortunately, there is good borrowing and all the elements present are well worked out. The game only lacks levels and that will eventually cause a flat tire, just before the game overtakes the competitors.

Nintendo parties along with Mario Party Superstars. The game features a whole heap of content from other Mario Party games to bring us 100 minigames across five cool boards. It's unfortunate that there are only five with so many boards to choose from. The same goes for the characters in the game. However there is enough, you simply miss a few. Still, if you are looking for a party, online or offline, this is the game to go for!

House of Ashes is the best iteration in the franchise yet. The horror feels more mature and the jumpscares are not as prominent as before. The animations are not always great and next-gen features are yet to be used fully, but suspense and scares are guaranteed. In a dark room on a stormy night, you are ensured to have a sleepless night or two.

Metroid Dread is the return of Samus we waited for almost twenty years. The closing chapter of Samus' adventure is intended to kickstart the era of the Switch OLED and it does it with a bang. The game looks delicious and plays seamlessly smooth. The game has some minor flaws but feels nearly perfect as you search the depths of ZDR and need to flee the E.M.M.I. to save your life. This is simply a must-buy for everyone that owns a Switch!

Hades is a near-perfect Roguelike. The game looks great, plays smoothly, and offers tons of variation. There is no boredom in this game that lets you escape, die and repeat over and over again. You just want to reach the end and after that, you want to do it again and again. There are a few minor details that could have been better, but it doesn't get much better than this.

Space Jam A New Legacy The Game doesn't really tie in with the movie. Instead of focussing on basketball, it lets you fight AL-G Rythm's goons in a brawler and a very flat and short one at that. The game can be finished in thirty minutes and even faster if you play with three players. It looks good, but the gameplay is simple. If your kids can't wait to see the movie the game is a good warmup, but nothing more than that.

Final Fantasy VII Remake just got even better. With the new options in the free PS5 upgrade, you can choose between graphics and performance. The new DLC adds about 5 hours of gameplay starring Yuffie for a reasonable price. It's long enough and it adds enough, but just not enough to buy the entire package anew if needed.

Resident Evil Village is a deliciously gruesome game. Ethan Winters gets it again and once more has to go through hell to save his family. This time no crazy family, but a bigger setting that gives you more freedom. Although the game is somewhat linear initially, the level of horror continues to rise but this time combined with more puzzles and exploring. The enemies are terrifying and next to that survival is truly back with the RE4-inventory system.
