Life is Strange Double Exposure is worth your time as it'll stir up some deep emotions (especially if you've played the original). Some bugs detract from the overall enjoyment of the adventure as the story is really fun to play through.

8 / 10.0 - Hi-Fi Rush
Mar 18, 2024

The PS5 may not be the best place to play Hi-Fi Rush, since it seems to demand a lower latency than the regular Dualsense controllers offer. That being said, it's still an excellent game that's well worth your time. The music is top notch, the visuals are great and the gameplay is jam-packed with slick action. Just consider playing it on a different system or replacing your controller with one that's more high-end.

8 / 10.0 - Persona 3 Reload
Jan 30, 2024

As with all Persona games, Persona 3 Reload takes its time, both with its 80 hour story and its slow progression throughout the ingame months. If that's your thing, then there's an amazing game here with an interesting story, fun characters and outstanding music. The combat doesn't always hold up, but it mostly does and it's fun when it works.

8.5 / 10.0 - Baldur's Gate 3
Aug 23, 2023

Baldur's Gate 3 shows that you can build a massive game of over a hundred hours and still give your players lots of freedom, while keeping the quests interesing and engaging. The writing and acting are top notch. You do need some understanding of Dungeons & Dragons or Divinity for a smooth transition, though. And bugs can occasionally mess you up.

System Shock Remake lacks the polish we've come to expect from modern remakes, but it is definitely the best version of a cult classic. It feels a bit old, but the creepy atmosphere and mysterious story make players want to explore it. You'd think a game about AI would have better NPC's, though!

‎All in all, we are very satisfied with Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. It's everything we expected. New monsters, new moves and new challenges. At the same time, Sunbreak is not so difficult that you have to use the Swap Scrolls, just like you could play Rise without fully mastering the wirebugs. We also like that there are traps in the area again for players to use. If cross saves was finally a thing, this expansion was perfect very close.‎

‎Where Final Fantasy VII Remake just missed some points to be a masterpiece in our eyes, the Intergrade DLC elevates quite a bit. Hopefully Square Enix will be able to keep that up, and they will be able to curb the length of the next two games. Still, we enjoyed ourselves for the most part, and the interesting and special story of the base game manages to hold us enough to get us all the way through the game.‎

‎Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is one of the most interesting and tightly written stories we've seen in a video game. It also offers a freedom and impact that puts Telltale Games in a bad light. Slightly clumsy controls and a bug here and there does not prevent us from enjoying this absurdist spectacle to the fullest.‎

8.5 / 10.0 - Psychonauts 2
Aug 29, 2021

‎All in all, we are very much at peace with ‎‎Psychonauts 2.‎‎ The story is intriguing, the humor is excellent and the charm splashes off. The gameplay isn't always top quality, but it's fun and it works when it has to. If you're not afraid of miles of collectibles, or if you were already sold by the original, then ‎‎Psychonauts 2‎‎ is a game for you. It's also a good ending to its predecessor without scaring off new players.‎

Obsidian managed to hold on to their unique brand of humor throughout The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos, with the expected gags about capitalism and the value of human life. The story was fun and engaging, even though the mystery wasn't quite as mysterious as we had hoped.

8.5 / 10.0 - Monster Hunter Rise
Mar 23, 2021

While the Rampage Mode was a bit disappointing, Monster Hunter Rise ultimately manages to incorporate the excellent gameplay of its predecessors while introducing the interesting new Wirebug mechanics. The game also brings back the interesting and often wonky weapon designs that many fans missed in Monster Hunter World. While graphics may have been sacrificed somewhat for this timed Switch Exclusive, Rise's personality more than makes up for it.

The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon is a decent piece of DLC with some very significant flaws. Because the player needs to progress beyond a certain point, but the save file can't be in the final stretch of the game, Peril is in a very awkward position. It is most suited for players who love the game and are looking for more. But chances are, they have to restart from scratch and replay a significant portion of the base game to even start. At that point, it might not be worth it.
