Immortality is a different kind of game, but if you click with it, the story, acting, and overarching mystery will show you something wonderful.
No faults can bring down an amazing story told in a unique way, serving as an example for storytelling-focused games moving forward.
Final Fantasy is an all time classic, and additions from the new Pixel Remaster release make it easier to play than ever before.
One Piece Odyssey is a fun enough diversion for hardcore fans with ample patience, but others won't find much to drive them through the conclusion.
Persona 4 Golden remains an all-time great RPG, and one that deserves your time all the more with a handful of useful quality of life tweaks.
SD Gundam Battle Alliance is a wonderful gift to fans, but solo players will have to look past the grind to see the shine.
Ni no Kuni II is a wonderful game, but the sacrifices to make it work on Switch and lack of content outweigh the portability factor.
Wolfstride has a wonderful concept and almost pulls it off, but it can't come together into a cohesive experience.
Sable has good bones, and beautiful skin, but everything in between is broken and half formed. A few patches in, this game could easily become a cult classic. However, the issues in dialogue and quest design aren't likely to be patched away. Hopefully we'll see this concept tackled again, without all the bumps in the road launching it wildly off course.
Boyfriend Dungeon is a unique game, but it hits every mark it aims for.
Compile Heart, and the Neptunia series in particular, have the kind of negative reputation that begs you to push through and find the treasure that keeps these games releasing a full decade later. Sadly, if there is a diamond in all this rough, it’s not to be found in Neptunia ReVerse. The repetitiveness of the core experience is unlikely to win over non-fans, and longtime fans will feel disappointed, if not insulted, by the lack of changes from Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, and PlayStation 5 exclusivity proves the final nail in the coffin for this remaster in search of an audience.
