Dane Smith's Reviews
A clone of Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence with controls optimized for the PC and not the PS4. ROTK13 lacks any of the basic macro and combat strategy fundamentals of previous titles, making this a sequel in name only. If you liked Sphere of Influence then you’ll enjoy this title too. But for those who waited for an ROTK game, keep waiting.
A new series with loads of potential. It is hampered by a horrendous loading time and major content locked away online. If you can handle these two problems then the game is a lot of fun, and will have you grinding away for days to make your super merc squad.
A long-awaited localization of a famed franchise that fails to make an impact. With little depth or strategy, this is a game designed for those who love Japanese history or are franchise diehards. Only that love will keep you wanting to play through the game more than once.
A fun detective-esque RPG that punishes and rewards at the same time through its original story and game mechanics. Lacking RPG fundamentals like side quests and super-powered equipment will turn off some genre enthusiasts, but those who give it a chance will be captivated.
A decent first step into the TRPG pond. While it lacks the serious tone and depth required for a diehard RPG lover, fans of the series and those looking for a laid-back comedy story will have lots of fun.
An over-complicated story with pacing issues holds this RPG back from its full potential, especially since the prequel was not released in English first. Those who enjoy reading will no doubt have fun. A tedious magic leveling system can also scare away new fans embracing the series. Only RPG diehards and TK fans will immediately gravitate towards it.
The best game in the Warriors franchise to date, and a perfect starting platform for any new fan to the series.
An ultimate edition of the original PS3 version. The added free goodies rewards fans and those who skipped it on the PS3. Disgaea and RPG fans will be in love, but the extra trinkets won't be enough to win over non-fans of the long running series..
