I have to say that despite its simplicity, Hidden Folks really entertained me, and I can’t wait for the developers to add more images or create a new game. After finishing the game, you can sign up for a newsletter about new levels, which I didn’t hesitate to do. You can also play it on mobile devices. It’s perfect for killing time on public transit or in the bathroom, but playing on a phone can be a bit limiting due to the smaller screen. When searching through the largest images, you’ll appreciate the overview a large monitor provides. The only downside I see is that you can’t start a new game without deleting your previous progress (the Steam version). So if multiple players are using the same account, you have to take turns.

Rust is a game you’ll both love and hate. You’ll love it when you manage to outsmart an opponent and strip them of everything, and hate it when the same thing happens to you. However, I’d recommend that new players don’t give up, stick with it, and success will come sooner or later. I do recommend taking about a week off, though, because learning the game mechanics will take you several hours—or even dozens of hours. And at least while you’re learning Rust, I’d definitely skip the official servers, as well as any servers with a population over 150 players and servers with maps smaller than 3,500, so you don’t get crushed right from the start. Studying the game’s basic mechanics, such as mining, building, and the like, is an absolute must, because no one is going to go easy on you. In any case, you’ll have a blast if you stick with it. Brawlhalla is the perfect game for LAN parties, geek sessions, or letting off steam after a tough day at work. Everyone will have fun, regardless of age or experience. Stunning graphics, plenty of rewards, skins, and other in-game content are a given. Updates are released at least every three months, so not only is the gameplay itself dynamic, but it’s also clear that the developers are striving to provide the best possible user experience.

Combining a simulator with motorcycles is truly every biker’s dream, and the game is quite relaxing. However, I miss the Czech localization—there are many activities and components in the game with complicated names. The realistic sounds and visual style are what keep you hooked on this title.

The PC version of God of War is flawless and a must-play for every gamer. Flawless optimization, perfect gameplay, Norse mythology, a cinematic experience, and a brilliantly written story about a father and son. I tried to find a flaw or a negative aspect. I put in 50 hours of playtime and found nothing. I played through the game in detail and became even more convinced—this is a true masterpiece in the gaming world. I proudly rank it among the TOP 10 games I’ve ever played.

There is certainly room for improvement—such as better overall design—but the overall impression is largely positive, and it’s definitely worth a try. When I played it, I bought Grow: The Song of Evertree for around 450 CZK, which is a fair price considering I spent just over thirty hours playing it. Overall, the game captivates with its philosophical concept and captivating music, offering a gentle, rewarding experience with added value. Although there is room for growth, the foundations are solid.

Papetura is a wonderfully relaxing game for a single evening. It features beautifully designed scenery and several unique characters you’ll encounter along the way. You can really take in the beautifully crafted environment. Unfortunately, it’s a shame that the environment in which your paper character moves isn’t at least a little more interactive. Simply put, you’d just like more. Papetura is very short and, for the most part, very simple in terms of gameplay. So if you’re a fan of Amanita’s games and have already played them all, Papetura is a wonderful, original contender and definitely worth exploring.

Horizon Forbidden West is a massive action-RPG adventure that is, in many ways, far superior to its predecessor and completely blows it out of the water. I can find almost nothing to fault the developers at Guerrilla Games for; this is a worthy sequel that is undoubtedly one of the best games for the PlayStation console. The world of Horizon is bursting with high-quality content; you can easily lose yourself in the game for dozens of hours without ever getting bored. I highly recommend this game—it’s a must-have for action RPG lovers—and I hope the developers have some DLC in store for us.

As I mentioned at the beginning, Tavern Master was a safe bet on the part of the new developer. While that’s understandable, a bit more creativity or some innovation wouldn’t have hurt. The developers took the core of tycoon gameplay and stripped it down to nothing but the most basic mechanics. The game looks and plays well, but for anyone familiar with the genre, it offers no challenge or innovation, so it could be recommended mainly to those who don’t have much experience with this type of game, and Tavern Master could serve as a good stepping stone for them toward higher-quality and more sophisticated titles. In a way, my criticism of the soundtrack is symbolic, and it can be extended to the entire game. It sounds good and is quite catchy, but who thought a single melody would suffice for the entire playthrough? There’s too little creativity and an almost excessive play-it-safe approach. I can imagine that the developers could easily use the current game as a foundation on which to gradually build additional content and refine the mechanics. The development potential is definitely there. As it stands, Tavern Master is a laid-back game sufficient for unwinding and a momentary distraction, but it still has a long way to go before it can be considered a classic of the genre.

Total War: WARHAMMER III is a fantastic conclusion to the trilogy. It builds on the foundations laid by the previous installments in the series and enriches the tried-and-true mechanics with new content. The battles, which form the core of the game, will put your tactical genius to the test while compelling you to zoom in again and again on the beautifully rendered units locked in combat. Fans of the series may be pleased (or disappointed) to find that, although the game refines old mechanics and introduces new ones, the gameplay remains essentially unchanged from previous installments.

Hollow Knight can be considered the king of its genre. If you’re looking for something better, believe me, you’ll have a hard time finding it. When I was trying to think of a single downside to the game, I spent hours exploring the world, searching for even the smallest flaw. There is one, however, that you might not notice right away because it’s hidden behind the great experience—a slight sense of repetition. Simply put, you navigate each location by always having to find the cartographer and then go look for the boss, who will unlock a new ability that lets you access the next location.

Improved and highly entertaining gameplay, a great cartoonish art style, a fantasy theme, sophisticated level design, extensive character customization options, plenty of challenges, and high replay value. All of this and much more makes OlliOlli World from developer Roll7 one of the most entertaining skateboarding games I’ve played in the last few years. I highly recommend this game, and if our review has piqued your interest even a little, you definitely won’t regret buying it. It guarantees at least dozens of hours of fun. If you’re looking for a real challenge and plan to complete everything the game has to offer, I wish you strong nerves, and I’m very curious to see what else the developers have in store for us.

Whether or not you're a fan of the zombie genre, if you're looking for a great action game, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is exactly what you want in your library. I'd wait a bit for the bugs to be fixed, though, and then the gaming experience should be absolutely perfect. The only downside is the story, which might not be everyone's cup of tea, but you should form your own opinion about that after giving it a try.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus has fulfilled the dream I’ve always had since I first got into RPGs as a kid. I was worried about how the game would turn out, because last year was one disappointment after another for me in terms of gaming, but fortunately, that’s not the case here. The game is exactly as I imagined it from the trailer—magical, nostalgic, fun, and thrilling. I sincerely hope the developers stick with this format and don’t do a 180-degree turn back to the original one. I’m not saying the old one was bad, but this is something I would personally define as a childhood dream come true.

Good Company is definitely not a relaxing game. On the contrary, it will really make you rack your brain as you search for that one last missing piece that’s causing your entire, perfectly assembled production chain to grind to a halt. The game will definitely captivate you if you enjoy endless spreadsheets and organizing and optimizing them. The charmingly designed Good Company ended up pleasantly surprising me. Although the game initially seemed very challenging with its myriad settings, I eventually got completely lost in it—but I actually enjoyed it. For fans of management, process engineering, and logistics, it’s definitely a “must-have.”

Transient is a great game, but if the developers make a sequel and I find out it’s going to be a puzzle game too, I’ll go to their studio in person, slap everyone there, and while I’m at it, I’ll pay them extra to work on the characters’ faces. The game is superbly optimized; I didn’t encounter any frame drops or bugs. If you’re planning to rewatch the Matrix trilogy to refresh your memory before seeing the new one, I recommend trying Transient instead.
