Steel Assault Reviews
Zenovia Interactive shows its love for these classic arcade games and that brings out the best in Steel Assault!
Steel Assault is a difficult, but extremely rewarding game. Despite its short campaing, the challenge of beating it with only 1 live will keep you playing for hours and hours.

Steel Assault is a simple but solid, retro-feeling, side-scrolling indie platformer that is both enjoyable and challenging. While it would be great to have a few more levels, zipping through the nuclear wastelands of America is still well worth your time. The resistance is ready, so jump in and join the fight.

An excellent arcade action game. The soundtrack is a delight to listen to and fits the fast paced nature of the action to a T. If it has one major flaw, it's that's too short and lacks replayability.
Run-and-gun shooters were absolutely a consistent staple in the arcades and on consoles back in the day, and that puts a certain amount of pressure on developers in the current day to do anything that feels new and exciting...
Steel Assault is one of the cases that I would compare to a good cup of coffee. Enjoyable while it lasts, but something you'll probably forget after a few days. The wide gap between difficulties and the lack of variety in its action set pieces diminish its replayability and lasting appeal.
