Pretty Girls Rivers
Critic Reviews for Pretty Girls Rivers
Pretty Girls Rivers is another solid entry in the ongoing series but also one that very much feels like the others. If you have enjoyed the other titles in the series up to now then this one will be a no brainer for you. If you just want a cheap and relaxing game of matching tiles to hold you over for a couple hours with a little bit of fan service on the side then this will also be for you. For everyone else, this likely isn’t targeted at you and you can go find another game to enjoy.
Pretty Girls Rivers is one of the better puzzle games offered by EastAsiaSoft and is recommended to those who enjoy mahjong solitaire. Unfortunately, there’s not enough content to satisfy players for too long. Still, clear the pile and make room for this one, puzzle lovers.
I recommend picking this one up. This title does play it safer in terms of anime girl outfits than some of the other entries and the soundtrack got on my nerves pretty early doors, but it’s nothing a mute button and a good podcast can’t solve. Speaking of – the latest episode of the Pure Dead Gaming podcast is available now, where we discuss this title among many other topics.
Pretty Girls Rivers is a good time, and if you fancy another nice casual puzzler featuring pretty anime-style girls on your Switch, it’s a good addition to the lineup as a whole. Don’t expect it to last you too long — but like I say, if you do want to squeeze some additional (and surprisingly enjoyable) longevity out of it, be sure to tackle the perfect score challenge. I’ll be waiting for you atop the leaderboards!
