Hyper Void does enough to stand out as an entertaining shoot-'em-up despite its somewhat frustrating, bare bones presentation.
Hyper Void is a fun new take on an established formula, but ends up being its own worst enemy. The game is too difficult for its own good, and the lack of difficulty levels is disappointing. However, those up for the challenging task will be rewarded.
Hyper Void is not without its fair share of fun, producing some eccentric and vibrant experiences with its procedural environments. Unfortunately, it's still very light on additional content and offers next to no incentive to continue the fight once you've exhausted the short run of levels.
Hyper Void is a stellar shoot 'em up experience that passes the time in a fun and exciting way, with gorgeous high resolution graphics and an action-pumping soundtrack. All for a price tag that, in our opinion, is worth an adrenaline-fuelled romp, even if it the whole thing doesn't last as long as we may have liked.
Hyper Void is a game that will amaze hardcore fans of Tempest-style shooters but it's also one that may frustrate and alienate those just looking for a casual arcade shooting experience.
