One of the best games in history

The original is a masterpiece, but the remake isn't worthy of it. A remake that maintains almost complete PS2 gameplay isn't enjoyable for 2025. Poor work.

This feels just as good if not better than the original game. The only thing holding it back is a lack of innovation and poor performance on launch, but apart from that this game is just as fun as it was in 2004.

My first foray into the Metal Gear series, and man was this a blast. Campy and philosophical with great and inventive combat. I will definitely play this again to gather more of the collectables and try different combat strategies.
