With a strong fondation like Death Stranding, this second installment isn't a groundbreaking innovation compared to the first one. And that's absolutely not a negative point as Death Stranding was an incredible experience despite some slow phases, redundant deliveries and a very grindy Platinum trophy.
Let's now look at Death Stranding
Fantastic game - wildly imaginative - possibly hard to follow some of the plot points. Really enjoyed the quirky / playful characters. Enjoyed the novel gameplay (you're not just blasting things with weapons, though you do that in some missions) traveling across the map, carrying cargo around - very fun!
Death Stranding 2 is a very strong video game, from a technical standpoint. At times, you’re absorbed by this gorgeous world and helping rebuild it as you deliver items to aid distribution centers is an addictive loop. Narratively though, this game is a complete mess. Maybe that will come across
I realy enjoyed the story, but near the end I found the game to drag on when I wanted the game to be over.
While good in it's own right, compared to the first title, Death Stranding 2 loses much of the tension and story telling that made it's predecessor so memorable
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is, in short, a big and better form of what the first game did, and keeps the tale going. The many changes make it a lot better, smooth, and whole. It's still not for all the main job of moving stuff over hard land
This game is a masterpiece in terms of the landscapes and even the shape of the weapons and modern vehicles and the shape of the realistic animals and the wonderful cinematic scenes, in addition to the fact that all the scenarios are based on references from the Metal Gear Solid
Having only just played the first Death Stranding before this sequel was released, I was already sold into the game’s world and the game loop of making deliveries, traversing varied terrains and building roads and structures.
Keeping to those same mechanics and world-building that the original had, the sequel iterates
Differently perfect. Enjoy the sadness when you finish the game and there is no more death stranding to play. This game is on another level... Congratulations Kojima, you did it again.
Although I've stacked almost 400 hours of playtime between the first and second game, Kojima's mind never ceases to impress.
Death Stranding 2 improves on almost every aspect when compared to the first game, tools, weapons, constructions (which have surprisingly cool upgrades) enemy encounters with ordinary goons and BTs didn't get
what a disgusting game, no gameplay, no story, just a desire to seem different from everyone else
