If you ignore the fully nostalgic title and manufacturer, then you will get a totally generic boring outdated remake from n64 area, totally suitable for a 4 years old non-gamer. Avoid at any cost
It's really fun, but not very deep. The allure of breaking everything fades, and they don't take as much advantage of the Bananzas as they could've. It's great, but not a 9/10 or anywhere near Mario Odyssey.
One of the best platformers in the 2020s, the journey of DK and Pauline is an sweet and amazing team-up.
I thought I didn't care for platformers anymore but this game completely proved me wrong. Absolutely addicting gameplay.
This and Super Mario Odyssey are my two favourite platformers of all time. So much love has gone in to this game and it's such a pleasure to play. A genuine masterpiece. The new DK character design is amazing.
I put quite a bit of time into Donkey Kong Bananza, which gave me hours of mindless fun. Towards the end though, I found myself waiting for the game to take the next step, which just never came. As a gameplay mechanic, the destruction you can cause in Bananza is
Familiar characters in a new setting. Fun if your idea of a good time is breaking things ad nauseum.
I really enjoyed this game you know, it has so much charm and it has a lot of respect for the DK series with returning characters and references I just really love what they did with this game honestly, so great.
Finished up Donkey Kong Bananza last night. While I enjoyed this quite a lot, it definitely didn't match my expectations. Maybe it was the high review scores going in, or expecting it to be more like Mario Odyssey. With that one my wife really liked watching me play through and
Donkey Kong Bananza is a blast of new and fun ideas. It takes a big, brave leap and mostly nails it. The main play of breaking and finding stuff is super good, and the charm and amount of stuff you get is huge. But, you can't look past the big
Filled with a colorful cast of characters, impressively destructible environments and extremely entertaining gameplay, Bananza is another hit for Nintendo and the first great game for the Switch 2.
Game of the Year 2025, easily. Only Kingdom Come 2 comes close but DK is objectively the best of the year.
Extremely fun game, addictive mechanics and that ending… amazing.
Great take on a DK platform game since the 64 , unique world mechanics make this game stand out
A great game continued by Mario Odyssey Team. The everything can be destroyed setting is fresh new experience. But the difficulty could set higher.
New classic. Very unique. So exciting to have a new first-class franchise from Nintendo. I’m already looking forward to future iterations!
