Mafia: The Old Country Player Reviews

What a beautyful game, i hope they will keep making this kind of history focus games in the future. Mafia The old country takes this saga back to the top of writing in the videogame industry once again.
Liked it a lot. It's very straightforward, gripping story, extremely, extremely good visuals, good gameplay loop (nothing very special, but nicely made)
All the mechanics are in place there, even though could feel just a tiny bit outdated (they don't break anything at all). Story is great, and I loved my
Open-world games have become stale and boring. It appears that developers are merely creating open worlds without any enjoyable activities within them. Mafia's open world is deceptive but beautiful, refreshing but also sort of pointless. Mafia tries to go back to its roots, literally, by bringing us to the times
Mafia: The Old Country marks a return to the series’ roots, echoing the first two entries with its focus on pure, cinematic storytelling. The narrative is immersive and well-crafted, pulling you in from start to finish during a campaign that, while short —around 12 hours—, is intense and entertaining enough
Don't get me wrong : he game is beautiful, and the early 20th-century Sicilian atmosphere is stunning.
But with this apart it's the same piece of garbage that the lazy studio Hangar 13 did with Mafia 3.
Why am I saying that ? Well let me sum up real quick what
If you like watching a mafia inspired movie for the hundredth time, you will most probably enjoy it.
If you expect engaging game-play elements steer away from this one.
They cooked with this one. Mafia: The Old Country was great—Enzo and the whole cast of characters were great, the graphics, the combat (for the most part), the music, the cutscenes, the story, and the backdrop of 1900s Sicily were all great in this game. Besides Enzo, I especially liked
I liked the story very much, some say its predictable but i rather a good predictable story than an unpredictable bad written story. the gameplay is ok and somewhat copied from other games which i don't have a problem with. Overall a very good game.
While the game feels somewhat dated, it's not without it's charm. The pacing, despite being a slow burn, is well done. The story is engaging and it is a visually lovely representation on 1900s era Sicily. The datedness comes from the gameplay which not bad per say, seems like it's
Mafia The Old Country Amazing Atmosphere of Old Sicily
I played the game on PS5 and I have to say it completely captivated me. As a long time fan of the Mafia series, I couldn’t wait when this new installment was announced and it was worth the wait.
The atmosphere of
It's a short playable movie with a bad ending. The open world is completely dead, there's nothing to do. The characters are shallow and boring, it's really bad.
Very enjoyable narrative driven game. Less action than in previous titles but the story does well to carry the game. It could be a tad bit longer with slightly more content, only thing keeping it from being an 8/10.
Great atmosphere, strong story, and a return to classic mafia style. Fans of the series will enjoy it, even if it’s not technically perfect. A solid gangster tale with heart.
A very solid Mafia story, with great characters.
With The Old Country we basically get what was promised: a linear, narrative focused, Mafia story, and I’m happy to say that’s exactly what we got.
First things first, this is a PC review, so some of my personal experiences with this port:
It is

I recently completed the first playthrough of Mafia: The Old Country, where the main location is picturesque Sicily, the birthplace of world-famous organized crime. The first impression was so vivid that I wanted to share my
