Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance: Uprising is definitely a step in the right direction, adding exactly what fans have been asking for: a broader, nonlinear campaign where every move counts and where the resistance finally feels like a real army fighting to survive. At the same time, however, it shows that the developers have so far only opened the door to greater possibilities without actually filling them with content. Conquest mode is fun and engaging, but after a while it starts to suffer from monotony and a lack of depth. However, if you enjoyed the original Defiance and are looking for a reason to return to it, Uprising will definitely give you one. It’s a solid expansion that takes the game further and showcases its potential.
