Sudden Strike 5 marks the series’ return in the best possible form. The developers understood what fans loved about the original games and successfully combined those elements with modern gameplay. Its greatest strengths are the large-scale battles, excellent tactical depth, a vast array of units, and the immersive atmosphere of World War II. The game rewards patience, planning, and the ability to exploit every advantage on the battlefield.

Directive 8020 is a prime example of a game that had all the makings of one of the best sci-fi horror games of recent years, but ultimately fell short. An excellent premise, an attractive setting, a decent atmosphere, and high-quality audiovisuals create a very strong first impression. Unfortunately, the longer you play, the more the script’s weaknesses, the shallow characters, the simplistic gameplay, and the underutilized potential of the entire premise begin to surface.

Thick as Thieves is a game that may not have lived up to all of its original ambitions, but it still manages to offer something that’s quite rare these days. It marks a return to the classic concept of stealth games, where patience, planning, and the ability to improvise are what matter most.

Gothic 1 Remake isn’t just a remake of an old game. It’s an attempt to revive a specific type of RPG that’s almost nonexistent today. It’s not merely a return of a famous franchise, but a reminder of a time when RPGs were built on character growth through patience, exploration, tough combat, curiosity, and hardship. A reminder of a time when there was no need to explain every step and when exploring the world was a true adventure. After all these years of waiting, what emerged wasn’t just another remake. It was a modern incarnation of one of the most important RPGs in history. And even though it has a few flaws, it’s a title that shows why Gothic was so exceptional.

MENACE is not a game for casual strategy gamers. It’s a title built on challenge and uncompromising difficulty, so it punishes every mistake very harshly. This turn-based strategy game rewards you for caution and strategic thinking, as it delivers a fantastic, suspenseful experience that forces you to think through every move. And this is true even though, in its current early access form, it’s clear that it’s not yet as polished as it aims to be. However, if you’re a fan of challenging turn-based strategy games, MENACE will undoubtedly become a major time sink.

It’s not at all easy to evaluate Fallout 4 – Anniversary Edition. On the one hand, we have the original, fantastic game, along with six DLCs of varying quality—which most veterans have likely owned for a long time. On the other hand, we have a massive package that will be appreciated more by players who haven’t tried Fallout 4 yet. Ultimately, however, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is a massive bundle of content that represents one of the most comprehensive versions of this post-apocalyptic RPG on PC. It offers hundreds of hours of gameplay, a strong atmosphere, and enormous variety in playstyle.

Darwin’s Paradox! isn’t a game that tries to impress at all costs. It doesn’t bring about a revolution; it doesn’t try to rewrite the rules of the genre. Instead, it does something completely different: it takes a familiar and tried-and-true foundation and builds upon it to create its own unique experience, featuring an original take on an octopus as the main character. It relies on its concept, atmosphere, and attention to detail. It lets you explore, lets you think, and occasionally even makes you smile without you even realizing it.

CROSSBOW: Bloodnight is a concentrated dose of action. It doesn’t pretend to be a grand epic; it doesn’t offer an expansive campaign or sophisticated RPG systems. Instead, it delivers intense, fast-paced, and stylish combat that relies on reflexes, pace, and a willingness to try again—provided you have the patience to deal with enemies constantly spawning at your position.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide is a solidly crafted game that, while it doesn’t take risks with experimental mechanics, executes what it does with near-perfect precision. For fans of the show, it’s a must-play that surpasses previous installments, especially thanks to Patrick Star’s full integration into the gameplay. If you’re looking for a fun, visually captivating platformer that stays true to its source material and offers several hours of genuine fun, you’ve come to the right place.

HumanitZ offers a well-executed blend of survival mechanics and base-building with RPG elements and an open world set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse. It’s a game that’s primarily about atmosphere and survival. On the other hand, there are significant technical shortcomings, and while playing, you’ll find yourself grappling with the game’s technical glitches more than with its survival mechanics or zombies. At times, the gameplay becomes repetitive, and the story feels underdeveloped—it could have enriched the world with more powerful emotional moments. If the developers manage to polish the game, it will be one of the most solid titles in its genre. For now, it’s really up to each player to decide whether they’re willing to tolerate the large number of bugs.

Monster Train 2 is a prime example of a sequel that builds on the strong foundation laid by its predecessor. It doesn’t try to radically change a concept that worked, but instead expands and refines it. The result is a deep and extremely addictive strategy game that offers a vast array of different gameplay scenarios. The variety of clans, deck-building options, and fast-paced battles create a combination that can easily keep you engrossed for hours on end.

Nioh 3 is a confident continuation of the series that preserves its identity while expanding upon it. It’s not a game for everyone; it requires patience, a willingness to learn, and a desire to experiment. However, if you embrace its rules, you’ll find a complex action RPG with deep systems, intense combat, and an atmosphere that blends history with dark mythology.

At its heart and soul, Lost Eidolons is a solid turn-based strategy game with rich RPG elements and a well-written story that draws you into a world where chance and tactical ingenuity intertwine. It’s not without its flaws—occasional sluggishness, lengthy dialogues, or a somewhat limited branching decision system may bother some players—but its strengths far outweigh these weaknesses.

Bloodshed is a game that knows exactly what it wants to be. It doesn’t try to impress with an epic story or technical finesse, but focuses on pure, uncompromising fun. The combination of an FPS with roguelike elements works well, and thanks to its distinctive pace, it offers an experience that stands out sufficiently from most of the competition. On the other hand, it’s not a game for everyone. If you don’t like repetition, randomness, or a fast pace, you’ll likely get bored with the game quickly. But if you’re looking for an intense action roguelike that will push you to try new builds and constantly improve, Bloodshed can keep you hooked for hours on end.

A.I.L.A. is an ambitious psychological horror game with a clear vision and a powerful theme. It can unsettle you, make you think, and—at its best—offer a truly unsettling yet compelling experience. However, the slower pace and the need for patience with its gradual progression may not be for everyone. It’s an unconventional horror film that appeals more to the mind than to reflexes.

Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is one of those remakes that prove that when you have a strong foundation, you don’t need to try to rewrite history. All you need to do is sensitively restore it, enhance it with modern technology, smooth out the rough edges, and give it a new shine. And that’s exactly what Delta does. It’s an excellent choice for longtime fans. It’s a great choice for new players who want to understand the series’ roots. It’s a technically ambitious project with a few flaws, but overall it comes across as a respectable, polished work created with respect for the original.

Anno 117: Pax Romana marks a bold step for the series into a period that is iconic for strategy games. Fortunately, however, it doesn’t try to copy other titles and remains true to its unique identity. It offers a deep economic simulation, sophisticated city-building, and an atmosphere that draws you in. At the same time, it retains the addictive gameplay that made the series famous. For fans of the genre and the series, this game will undoubtedly become a time-sink.

Cronos: The New Dawn is a solid, challenging survival horror game that doesn't try to please everyone. It requires patience, critical thinking, and a willingness to immerse yourself in a world that is dark, confusing, and fascinating all at once. It's not a game that holds your hand; rather, it lets you get lost and fight for survival.
