MXGP2 has a distinctive crowd and does well to serve it. However, the game does nothing to bring about anything of encouragement for an audience that's now outgrown it's rebellious phase.

MXGP2 is a fun game, with plenty to see and do. Obviously, fans of Motocross will get the most out of it, but there are way worse driving simulations out there.

Fans of motorbike racing will no doubt be able to have some fun here even if there are problems with this latest instalment in the MXGP series. The ability to jump into the game with no prior MX experience and the addition of assists and rewinds means than anyone can try the game, going on to win and challenge for the championships in no time. Unfortunately, the game is let down by the long loading times and the repetitive feel of the tracks, amongst other things that need improving. There's nothing groundbreaking going on here, but there's enough for players to have a few hours of fun riding their bike around a muddy track.

MXGP2 will be able to appeal to most Motocross fans with it sheer amount of customisation options and playable events but the most important part of a racing game, the actual racing, needs to be greatly improved.

Graphically, MXGP2 is certainly not going to set your world on fire due… But then again, when the game is pretty much just mud, mud and more mud, I imagine it would be hard to make it truly interesting visually

MXGP 2 is a great example of how to take promising ideas, and then squander them all with terrible execution. There’s a decent motocross game in here somewhere, but it’s buried by technical issues like a fallen rider under mud.
