Moero Chronicle is a game that knows exactly what it wants to be, and it shows remarkable commitment in wholeheartedly sticking to the Compile Heart brand without sacrificing the quality of its delivery.
Overall, while maybe a little…iffier for more general audiences, with a wide variety of characters and customization, as well as the auro combo battle bonuses and rather interesting characters, I definitely came away liking Moero Chronicle H as a dungeon crawler. It wasn’t brutally unforgiving “cough” Dungeon Travelers 2 “cough”, but still a decent challenge. It helps that the music is pretty good and the boss theme is really solid. The plot may be a little lacking, but the customization makes it fun trying to build your own broken team. If you don’t feel awkward owning it, and are into dungeon crawlers, give it a try.
Moero Chronicle is an addictive game which revels in its sexual appeal, and its core gameplay mechanics are solid. It's a game that clearly won't be to everyone's liking but there's a lot of fun to be had.
Moero Chronicle is an interesting and entertaining dungeon crawler, which is difficult to mess up given the game's premise. Furthermore, the game's writing is hilarious and self aware which makes it even more delightful. Sadly, the best way to describe the battle system would be mediocre and could have used some unique mechanics to make it stand out in the genre. If you're looking for a game that is not to be taken seriously, full of half-naked monster girls, has a basic battle system, and a touching mini-game then look no further because Moero Chronicle is exactly what you have been looking for.
Moero Chronicle has moments of being a decent dungeon crawler for those new to the genre. The basic mechanics are done well, and the idea of collecting monster girls as party members makes gameplay more interesting. However, the act of taming the girls is difficult enough that your interest will fade even if the humor is appealing. Until some of the issues get fixed, it's difficult to recommend this title.
Moero Chronicle Hyper lives up to it's name. It is a hyper-actualized fantasy of sex and sex objects and sex acts and anything sex related. Unfortunately, in the pursuit of raunchiness, the game fails to deliver anything that's truly charming or engaging. Beyond some goofy monster designs, it's a terribly average game all around, hampered even further by a translation that desperately needed more time in the oven.
Moero Chronicle is just straight up disappointing. It's a lacklustre dungeon crawler, with time consuming, wasteful mechanics that pad out dungeons. It's a subpar ecchi game far too invested in its own subpar story to excel at the fanservice it offers, and it does all of this with creepy undertones, frustrating interfaces, and an overall aggravating vibe. There might still be a niche Compile Heart fanbase that gets something out of this, but even then, it's a stretch.
