Haimrik Reviews
A fortuitous series of events gift Haimrik a magical book with a difference. What follows is a platforming, puzzle solving calamity with intermittent eviscerations and the odd lioness mauling.
Haimrik has an immersive story but that's really all it has going for it as all you essentially do is solve simple puzzles and battle through minimalistic boss fights.
I think the £15.99 price tag is a tad too high for this four-hour game (I’d knock a fiver off it, personally) but for someone looking for a clever take on the 2D puzzle genre, it’s definitely recommended.
Haimrik allows us to think. The gameplay is based on written story and our reactions to it. We can spawn items by picking words and foresee what dangers await by reading ahead. The gameplay is simple, but demanding at times. It's a great niche game from South America.
