Look it’s not as good as the other Gears games. It just isn’t. The open world was empty and served no purpose other than to pad the hours in the game… still the gameplay was tight, the visuals were fantastic and the story was good. It’s a good game!! Just
Pretty visuals, solid gunplay, tight pacing and likeable characters. Main issue, much like Gears 4 is the feeling that the stakes and villains are a notable downgrade from the originals. Gears 5 continues the sequel series' failure to capture the hopelessness and grandeur that made the original series so impactful.
