With Dreams, Media Molecule has set itself a monument in the gaming scene. The story is quite manageable in scope, but it offers the perfect insight into what is possible with the editor of Dreams. With a little bit of dedication and creativity, everyone can realize their own game dreams. With all the community features, the great remix functionality and the community jams, I see no reason why Dreams shouldn't last for many years to come. Media Molecule has already confirmed that Dreams will run on the PS5, so I will probably be able to admire my creations and those of many other players in the next generation.

I can definitely see Dreams having a long lifetime, especially if a PS5 version is swiftly released after the new console. Being able to dive in and try out what’s new and exciting in Dream Surfing is always great, as is slowly building up your skills in Dream Shaping. I don’t think I’ll ever to able to create a masterpiece of my own, but I admire Dreams greatly for empowering those people who can.

Thanks to thematic jams it motivates you to create and gives you space to share your creations and collaborate with others. This has not been done before and Media Molecule truly deserves the perfect score, because Dreams in not only entertainment - it also gives the opportunity for more entertainment to be created.

There are no words that can accurately define my feelings towards Dreams. It's a title that has transcended everything we know as a game, becoming something completely new. Media Molecule exceeded all possible expectations by creating this wonderful tool, that if used correctly, will serve as one of the main pivots for content creators, game-design students, musicians, animators and many others throughout this decade. Dreams may be one of the last "games" to be released for PlayStation 4, but it will forever be immortalized as one of the greatest titles ever made in history.

In contrast to simplified game kits, the comprehensive editor allows players to cross the boundaries of individual genres and create almost picturesque settings and cinematic game sequences. Dreams is an impressive game making tool, which includes a great story mode: Art´s Dream. On the downside, motion sensing controls are not too accurate, and the game requires lots of tutorials.

Media Molecule gives us a complete tool with which feel ourselves like authentic video game developers. It takes time but, once you mastered it, the experience is very rewarding. The only limit of Dreams is in our imagination.

After three games starring the cute, black-eyed burlap doll Sackboy and a mammoth 11 million user-created levels, Media Molecule, the developer behind LittleBigPlanet, yearned to take community-based game making to the next level. It took seven long years, but Dreams is a far more visually wondrous example of the “play, create, share” mantra from the U.K.-based, Sony-owned studio.

While the community and creative software is incredible, it's exactly that: software. This isn't something you should just pick up and try out of curiosity; I can only recommend this title if you are willing to dedicate hours to making something truly amazing.

Dreams is a game that could make thousands of games. You can find various innovative creations on this platform ranging from games, videos to music and paintings. The tool is easy to use for amateurs developers but if you just simply want to enjoy yourself, Dreams might not be the best choice.

Dreams is a creator-focused set of tools more so than a video game. If you've always wanted to get into game making, collaborate with the like-minded community, and weren't sure where to start, this is a great option. But if you're primarily after some quality gameplay, and not just bite-sized imitations, it's best to look elsewhere.

Dreams is fantastically experimentative, and it's obvious that the near-limitless creation tools provide a platform on which the community can build far into the future, but to judge this package as whole right now, it's not the wider product that leaves a lasting impression.

Dreams is an almost bottomless well of user-created content, and already there are some gems amongst the myriad of creations available, even if they won’t ever feel like big-budget AAA games. It isn’t for everyone, but for the right kind of person, it will be everything.

But that's why we're also hesitant to recommend Dreams to exactly everyone. The novelty's pleasure settles quickly for those who do not have time to mecca with the dream project full time. After a few days, we've seen all the Super Mario clones available. And then we can see that exactly everyone is in production. The "Beta feeling" permeates most of what is uploaded. Although creators have mastered the tools much better than at the early access release.

As it stands, Dreams is an interesting experiment. It’s encouraging to imagine the world in which this game revolutionized an industry and opens the doors to more freedom for creative expression. Until then, it is only that: a dream.
