A valuable remake that makes the original Metro feel complete on PC.

This is the finest available version of an excellent, atmospheric game. It's still not perfect, but the Redux version irons out a significant number of weaknesses, adding some of Last Light's improved mechanics while also providing a welcome layer of visual polish. If you've never experienced Metro 2033 before this is the version you should pick up, without question. Should players who've already played through and enjoyed the original buy it? I'd say there's more than enough here to justify that purchase.

Metro 2033 Redux is remaking done right. This isn't a cash in in any way shape or form. It's simply a much better version of the original Metro. It's a perfect purchase for either newbies who haven't experienced the first game, or vets who want to experience the game again in a brand new light. I wholeheartedly recommend Metro 2033 Redux to anyone who is a fan of shooters, horror games, stealth games or post-apocalyptic sci-fi.

Metro: Redux is a hauntingly beautiful game that will test your nerves as well as your trigger finger. If you want a definitive post-apocalyptic survival horror experience, I would definitely recommend the game. Also, in the winter, the game will turn your computer into a makeshift heater. What's not to love?

Although it's a bit linear at times, Metro 2033 Redux excels in providing a first-person shooter experience with bountiful opportunities to make clever use of stealth.

This game is best described as the companion to Metro: Last Light Redux, where users are better off getting the retail compilation. The amount of visual fidelity and craftsmanship displayed in this game is unparalleled considering the lack of budget and absurd working conditions the crew had to endure during its development. It is a testament to the work of 4A Games and visionary Dmitry Glukhovsky.
