In 2013, the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the earth’s surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033. An entire generation has been born and raised underground, and their besieged Metro Station Cities struggle for survival, both with each other and the mutant horrors that await outside. You are Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised underground. Having never ventured beyond the city limits, one fateful event sparks a desperate mission to the heart of the Metro system, to warn the remnants of mankind of a terrible impending threat. Your journey takes you from the forgotten catacombs beneath the subway to the desolate wastelands above, where your actions will determine the fate of mankind.

A valuable remake that makes the original Metro feel complete on PC.

The first-person survival horror aspect of the game doesn't suffer at all on the Switch. From the visuals, audio, and inputs, everything feels and plays as if the series was made for the console. In fact, it's a testament that the Switch is more than the sum of its parts. Though there is a loss of some visual fidelity, and some sacrifice made while playing in handheld mode that comes in the form of battery life, Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light feel at home on this hybrid console.

Metro 2033 Redux is a top-class first-person shooter/survival horror game, a breathless experience that's been almost flawlessly ported to Switch by 4A Games. Artyom's desperate, haunting voyage through the irradiated remains of Moscow is every bit as engaging today as it was when it first released back in 2010, and this Redux version benefits massively from overhauled AI, gameplay mechanics and visuals. In terms of first-person shooters or survival horror games on Nintendo's console, this is one of the very best.

I went into this game barely hearing about the Metro games. I didn't quite know what these games were about, I knew that they had to do with the Horror genre, but I found myself mistaken. Not only is this a "horror" game, but it's also a fantastic story game. After beating the game last night, I would highly recommend this game. I personally never played the original game that
This game has pixel hunting and arbitrary deaths that went out of style in 90's video games. The monsters weren't scary. I had about 2 minutes of, 'this is pretty cool', with mostly cliché repetition. The "communists are just as bad as *****" propaganda was also a really enduring touch, that I could've gotten from someone's drunk uncle at a thanksgiving dinner. Not the worst
If you've never played Metro 2033 before, then this is a good time to start enjoying the game with a much improved version, Metro 2033 Redux. However, if you have ever played this game, it doesn't hurt to try it again because the atmosphere offered by 4A is quite different from the previous version.

At first I play this game, I didn't get the feel the story. But when I kept play this game, It's make me Wanna play more and more until I the end of the series. The animation was a little bit stiff but if a player focus on story, then it's no problem
