Xbox will be hosting a Free Play Days event through this weekend.
On the Xbox Wire, it was announced that this weekend will be a Free Play Days event. Starting today, and through December 13th, gamers a Xbox Live or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription will be able to play three titles for free.
The first game that will be free this weekend is Gears 5. Players will receive the updated campaign as well as the new DLC that replaces Marcus Fenix with Dave Batista. Playing the game on the Xbox Series X/S will grant reduced load times, 120 fps in Versus, and variable refresh rates.
The second game is Metro 2033 Redux, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. This definitive version of the game is rebuilt in the latest, and greatest, iteration of the 4A Engine. The game has been transformed with incredible lighting, physics, and dynamic weather effects. There will be two unique play-styles, as well as the legendary Ranger Mode for players to jump into.
The final game that will be free this weekend is Book of Demons. The game takes place in Paperverse, a world that exists inside a pop-up book. The ultimate Evil has awoken, and now players must save the terror-stricken Paperverse from the clutches of the Archdemon. They will do so by wielding magic cards instead of weapons, slaying the armies of darkness below the Old Cathedral. Gamers choose their strategy by combining items, spells, and skills, and decide the lengths of their quests by dividing the game into sessions of any size as the Flexiscope engine learns the pace of the players' gaming, and predicts the time to complete the next quest.
For those who wish to keep the games featured this weekend, they will all be on sale during this time. Gears 5 will cost $39.99, while Gears Tactics will run for $30. Metro 2033 Redux will set gamers back $4, and Book of Demons will be on sale for $12.50.
