It's been a roller coaster year for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Despite a buggy launch that required several updates, some of which made the game even more broken, it has been a runaway success with fans.
According to developer GSC Game World, STALKER 2 has already made a profit. Fans have also nominated it for three Steam Awards.
As GSC continues to work hard on the game, fans wonder what to expect from the title in the new year. The team took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to update us on what's coming.
STALKER 2 Has Cemented Itself As A Commercial Success
After selling over one million copies in the first three days after launch, STALKER 2 gained a devoted and patient fanbase.
Given the troubled development cycle interrupted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, GSC has been steadfast in improving the game experience.
Fans have shown their appreciation and continued support. GSC also teases an upcoming Christmas event that will be announced shortly.
Despite being snubbed at this year's The Game Awards, we at DualShockers have made sure to give STALKER 2 its roses as one of the year's best horror games.
Here's to even better things...
