Mortal Kombat 11's Jade Says "There Are More Storylines" For The Character

Mela Lee, the voice actor who portrayed Jade in Mortal Kombat 11, has said there are "more storylines" for the character following the reported cancellation of Mortal Kombat 1's Kombat Pack 3, although she doesn't know when they will be.

As Mortal Kombat fans are painfully aware of, Mortal Kombat 1 has had a very rough go of things since it launched last year, with backlash aimed at its item store, online features, and a whole lot more. Still, ignoring Khaos Reigns' disappointing story mode, things were starting to get a lot better throughout 2024 and a redemption arc didn't seem that unlikely.

Mortal Kombat often celebrates its history with action and horror icons, but gaming is part of that legacy too.

That made the recent rumours that Mortal Kombat 1's third Kombat Pack had been cancelled a big surprise, especially with Warner Bros. citing Mortal Kombat as one of its main series to focus on. Those rumours haven't been confirmed by NetherRealm just yet, but the reliable leaker behind them suggested that one of the characters who was going to appear in KP3 was fan-favourite Jade.
