GSC Games World has released patch 1.1.2 to rectify issues reported by the community after the legendary S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl A-Life update. Players stalled in the shader compilation, and the game crashed unexpectedly whenever they tried to exit.

STALKER 2’s first major update 1.1, released on December 19, contained over 1,800 fixes and changes, making it one of the largest patches for the game to date. The fixes included major improvements to A-Life NPC behavior, AI revamps, enhanced mission progression, and balance tweaks.

Some of the prominent issues that emerged post update 1.1 included players crashing whenever they tried to load their previous saves. Loading was definitely not the cause, since they didn’t have an issue starting a new game. On the compiling shades screen, the process often stalled and led to a crash rather than progressing to the main menu.
