Blizzard has announced that the last big content update for World of Warcraft's Battle for Azeroth expansion will drop in January.
In a blog post today, Blizzard announced that Battle for Azeroth's last major content update, entitled Visions of N'Zoth, will be available on January 14th. The update will include new Assaults and Horrific Visions. It will also include two new Allied Races, the Horde's vulpera and the Alliance's mechagnomes, and much more.
Players will be able to delve into Ny'alotha, the Waking City, a 12-boss raid set in the Void-shrouded heart of the ancient Black Empire. After confronting mad heralds and inscrutable horrors, players will ultimately go against N'Zoth himself.
Blizzard also provided a raid unlock schedule:
- January 21st - Normal and Heroic Difficulties
- January 28th - Mythic Ny'alotha, Raid Finder Wing 1 (Vision of Destiny)
- February 11th - Raid Finder Wing 2 (Halls of Devotion)
- February 25th - Raid Finder Wing 3 (Gift of Flesh)
- March 10th - Raid Finder Wing 4 (The Waking Dream)
Shortly after the release of Visions of N'Zoth, Battle for Azeroth Season 4 will begin. It will include a new seasonal affix in Mythic Keystone dungeons, reward updates, and a new season of PvP action.
The end of Battle for Azeroth updates comes soon before the release of World of Warcraft's next expansion. Entitled Shadowlands, the update was revealed at this year's Blizzcon. Shadowlands will introduce new areas to the game, overhaul existing systems, and introduce new NPC factions that can be joined, and much more. There will be a number of new appearance options for all races that will be available to players when they create new characters, or alter existing ones at the in-game barber. Players who are already at max level will begin the expansion at level 50, and will have to work their way to the game's new level cap of 60. Shadowlands will release sometime in 2020.
