Google has finally unlocked achievements for its streaming service, Stadia.

On Twitter, Google has revealed that the achievement system for Stadia has been released. In the post, they state: "Our achievement system is here and you will now receive notifications when playing on desktop, laptop, and TV. You can view your full achievement list on web, including all the ones you've earned since you began playing Stadia." Those who been playing on Stadia since launch will not have to worry about having to replay their games to gain the achievement, as Google has been tracking all of their achievements since launch.

In a Community Update (via Eurogamer), it is stated that Stadia users can choose who sees their achievements. Google also stated that mobile app users will have to wait "hang tight" for the moment. The update does state that there is more in store for achievements in 2020, including mobile support.

Last week, Google added three more games to the Stadia library: Borderlands 3, Dragon Ball Z: Xenoverse 2, and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The version of Borderlands 3 that was released on Stadia only reflects all the updates and fixes that were released through October 24th. This means that the Stadia version of the game is in the pre-Halloween state. While Stadia players are stuck playing the Halloween update, all other platforms are currently enjoying the holiday update. The current version of Borderlands 3 will land on Stadia next year.

There is some good news for Stadia players when it comes to Breakpoint, however. The platform's version of the game offers an exclusive feature called Stream Connect. This feature gives players a new picture-in-picture mode allowing them to observe the screens of up to three teammates to better coordinate their tactics. Google says that this feature is only possible on Stadia thanks to the cloud technology running the service.
