Information on Kingdom Hearts III's Re:Mind DLC has been released, giving us a better idea of what to expect when the content drops next month.

On Kingdom Hearts III's Japanese page (translated by Gematsu), details for the game's Re:Mind DLC have been given. Re:Mind depicts another story that happens during the game's climax. Just before the final battle at the Keyblade Graveyard, Sora follows the hearts of the Seven Guardians of Light. He will experience every Guardian's battle.

Re:Mind will feature high difficulty battles against the 13 members of the Real Organization XIII, which will require players to work on their guarding and attack timing to succeed. Gamers will be able to change between playable characters. This includes Riku, Aqua, Roxas, Kairi, and more. In some battles, players will be able to activate cooperative skills with their party members. The Japanese page also had sections for "Greeting Mode," "Slideshow Function," "Premium Menu (Diverse difficulty settings and gameplay challenges)," "Secret Episode & Boss." and "English Mode" for the Japanese version of the game. Detailed information for these sections will be released at a later date.

Kingdom Hearts III will also be receiving a small update next month. The free update will add new abilities and a couple of extra Keyblades. The game's sharing features will also be expanded.

One complaint that players had about Kingdom Hearts III was the lack of Final Fantasy characters. That will be fixed in Re:Mind. In Sony's State of Play trailer for the upcoming DLC that was shown earlier this month, it was shown that Final Fantasy characters such as Aerith, Yuffie, and Leon (Squall in Final Fantasy VIII) will be making a return.

Kingdom Hearts III's Re:Mind will release for the PlayStation 4 on January 23rd, 2020, and will release on the Xbox One on February 25th, 2020. The DLC was originally aiming for a 2019 release, but was pushed back to January 2020.
