It might be Christmas, but even that hasn't stopped ConcernedApe. Today, a new patch went live for Stardew Valley that addressed a problem with the game crashing on Xbox if players did anything from talking to Willy to merely opening a chest.
Last night, on Christmas Eve no less, he assured fans that he was "working on an emergency patch ASAP" to address the issue. Lo and behold, on a crisp Yuletide morning, the patch was deployed.
According to players over on the subreddit, the patch is working beautifully and the crashing has stopped. "Seems to be fixed now, merrry Xmas and thanks CA", wrote one such fan. "I just checked and Xbox updated to .42 and preserves jars didn't crash", another added. "Nice, Christmas morning and the patch fixed the crashing. Merry Christmas!" said another.
There's been an outpouring of support from fans on Twitter and Reddit after the emergency patch, with many even stressing that they wish he had just waited until after Christmas to resolve the issue. But nevertheless, he managed to get an update out in a mere day to resolve the problem.
It's hardly surprising given how much ConcernedApe clearly cares for the game, even...
