The Sonic films have only ever been loosely based on the films, mostly doing their own thing within their own continuity. As such, a lot of the characters we meet were created for the films, including most of the humans.
If there's one original creation that's proven to be a hit with the community, it's Agent Stone. With each instalment, fans have only grown to love him more, and the sidekick stole the show in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. In fact, he's so popular that many are hoping that he won't be a movie-exclusive character forever.
Twitter user @saltyfrgnwater brought up the idea after the film premiere, and a whole lot of other fans are in agreement.
"Praying they put Stone in the games, it’s all I want," says @BangtanCrafts.
"Agent Stone with Orbot and Cubot AND Sage…it’s perfect…he will officially be Dad number 2," replies @sonicx246.
Indeed, with Sage in the games, adding Stone could give Team Eggman a family dynamic, rivalling Sonic and pals. I mean, Stone and Eggman are basically together anyway, so they should absolutely adopt several children together.
