Xbox promised there would be a big surprise during its Developer Direct this week. What it didn't let on was that the big surprise would have an additional bonus surprise. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, the definitive edition of the original sequel, was revealed, and even though it wasn't mentioned during the Direct, there will be a physical edition of the game releasing this March.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black's physical version isn't suddenly going to start popping up everywhere, though. It's a Play-Asia exclusive and if you like the idea of having a copy of the shadowdropped game you can hold in your hands, pre-orders have already begun. It's $49.99, so the same price as the digital edition, and will be released on March 27, 2025.
Buy em' while you got em'.
There is a catch, though. Not only is Ninja Gaiden 2 Black's physical release exclusively available through Play-Asia, but it's also exclusive to PS5. Even though it was revealed during Xbox's Developer Direct, it seems like the physical version of the game will be skipping Xbox Series X|S.
