A new Smite 2 has been released that introduces two new characters, cosmetics, and some additional features for players. Smite 2 is currently available in open beta, giving fans a chance to try out the successor to 2014's hit third-person MOBA while Hi Rez Studios' in-house team, Titan Forge, continues its development.
Smite 2 retains the same characteristics as the first game, pitting players in 5v5 matches where they take control of characters inspired by the histories and mythologies from around the globe. Smite 2's roster ranges from popular names from the Greek pantheon such as Athena, Ares, and Zeus, to important names from Chinese culture such as Mulan, Nu Wa, and Jing Wei. Matches continue to be played in the third person, resulting in a unique MOBA experience reminiscent of today's popular hero shooters. Now, Smite 2 has unveiled a new wave of content to keep players engaged.
