Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is finally getting its much-requested trading feature. It will be pretty bare-bones to begin with, with players only able to trade select cards and being bound by a strict timer, but it's a start.
Many expected a Johto expansion, but Pokemon TCG Pocket's Gen 4 set is coming at the perfect time.
One of the reasons speculated for such restrictions is to stop players from selling their virtual cards for real-world money. Now, the game's developers have made that more explicit, issuing a warning to anybody who plans to profit from the app.
This morning, anybody opening the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket app would have been greeted by a message in their in-game inbox. This message warns players that the game will be "Taking Action in Response to Inappropriate Conduct," including "real money trading."
It reads: "We are aware that some players have engaged in data tampering, real money trading, and other behaviors that violate the Terms of Use. If we confirm that a player has engaged in behavior that violates the Terms of Use, we will warn them, suspend their account, or take action."
