Alan Wake 2 was a critical hit when it launched in 2023, winning a bunch of awards, including the top prize in three categories at The Game Awards. However, as with any game that's exclusive to the Epic Games Store, some PC gamers avoided it at launch, waiting for a Steam release.
Now, it seems that they're out of luck. An email purportedly from Tim Sweeney has been circulating online, in which the CEO of Epic Games says that Alan Wake 2 isn't coming to Steam at all. Now, 80 Level says that Sweeney has confirmed that the email is legitimate, and that Alan Wake 2 is remaining Epic Games exclusive on PC.
In the email, a Reddit user appears to reach out to Sweeney to make it clear they do not want to purchase Alan Wake 2 on the Epic Games Store, and asked when the game will be available on Steam. Sweeney apparently replied, simply writing, "It's not coming to Steam".
