Doom: The Dark Ages is one of the most-anticipated games of 2025. So anticipated that even now it has a release date, some Doom fans simply can't wait until May 15 to get a taste of what it's going to feel like. If all you want is a taste, for now, then you can have one via a mod for the original Doom that brings elements of The Dark Ages to the first game in the series.
The mod is called Darkfall and is available through Discord thanks to duskredy (via PCGamesN). Its creator has taken the little we've seen of The Dark Ages so far and imported as much of it as they can into the OG Doom from 1993. Most notably some of the new weapons we can't wait to get our hands on like the shield saw and whatever that gun is which crushes up skulls and uses them as ammo.
