Today was supposed to be a big day for Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket players around the globe as the game's second major expansion, Space-Time Smackdown, was released.

Druddigon + Rocky Helmet = Pain.

However, those hoping to jump in early have been plagued with a range of issues, slowing the game down or even stopping them from opening packs altogether.

The issues have been apparent from the moment the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket app is opened, with a circle loading bar hovering on the screen, rotating again and again, and this extends to the wider app.

Almost every function within the game has been slowed down, from opening packs to checking missions to the Wonder Pick function and even checking your already-owned collection.

The issue has been reported all over the globe, with many players on the Trading Card Game Pocket subreddit expressing their disappointment.

The issue, of course, likely comes from the fact that millions of players likely all logged into the game at the moment that Space-Time Smackdown launched, putting severe pressure on the server. Thankfully, as time progresses, things seem to be clearing up.
