Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the Lunar Awakening, a limited-time event to celebrate the Lunar New Year with in-game bonuses and rewards. Here comes another opportunity to grab shrine enhancements, new themed cosmetics, and 100% bonus XP from February 4 to 18, 2025.
The announcement shared on Blizzard’s official website details how you can leverage the Lunar Shrines across the Sanctuary. You also get a myriad of enhanced effects to power up your characters and become eligible for rewards.
How Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening Works
During this event in Diablo 4, all the shrines in the Sanctuary turn Lunar. They become imbued with that terrestrial energy that manifests as a radiant glow. Once activated, these shrines unleash Miserly Spirits that come with rewards and the coveted Ancestral Favor Reputation.
Besides the special enemies dropping loot, these shrines grant 100% bonus XP for 2 minutes and unique enhanced effects based on the type. For instance, the Greed Shrines will spawn Treasure Goblin while the Conduit delivers massive lightning strikes. Luckily, the game has these in both dungeons and open-world areas, offering a lucrative chance to gather rare items and boost your progression.
