Team Ninja has announced that an update is planned for Ninja Gaiden 2 Black in mid-February that will include some balance adjustments as well as "additional content".

Last week, Team Ninja and Xbox decided to drop a bombshell on the starving Ninja Gaiden fanbase by announcing both Ninja Gaiden 4 and a remake of Ninja Gaiden 2 during the first Xbox Developer Direct of the year. Black has mostly been very positively received by the community for being a stunning middle ground between the OG game and Sigma, but it's not without issue.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is a surprisingly beautiful remake that rights many of Sigma’s wrongs to become the next best thing to the original release.

One element of the remake that's been a little disappointing is the amount of removed content from both the original version of Ninja Gaiden 2 and its Sigma re-releases. We've already covered that in detail, but a lot of bonus elements from the game's past aren't present in the remake, something that will hopefully change in the near future.
