While Bandai Namco Entertainment's Ridge Racer series might not have released a new title in nearly a decade, fans of the storied car racing series can revisit 2000's Ridge Racer 64 on Nintendo's paid Nintendio Switch Online subscription service starting today.

Players should be aware that, while the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) collections for Nintendo Switch Online are included in the $19.99 USD / Year membership, access to the Game Boy Advance (GBA) and Nintendo 64 (N64) requires the $49.99 Expansion Pack membership.

Swerving past that disclaimer, players are able to hop back into the arcade classic today.

The first in the series not available on an Arcade or Sony Playstation console, Ridge Racer 64 showcases the fastest races the Nintendo 64 can handle throughout three varied environments, making nine total courses available.

In addition to that, multiple play modes are available, including Car Attack, Time Attack, and Quick Play for gamers impatient to put the pixel to the metal, as well as the classic Grand Prix mode.

Players can also challenge fellow gamers in Ridge Racer 64's three multiplayer modes: Team, Stage, and Battle.
