Pokémon TCG Pocket has promised to look into improvements to its much-derided trading feature. This week, Pokémon TCG Pocket launched a major update that added the new Space-Time Smackdown expansion as well as the ability to trade certain cards with friends. However, the new trading system was met with near-universal derision due to the way that players collected Trade Tokens, the currency needed to make trades. Players have to exchange multiple high-rarity cards to collect enough Trade Tokens to make a single trade.

The developers of Pokémon TCG Pocket have promised that they are looking into ways to improve the trading system. In a statement released to social media on Friday, Pokémon TCG Pocket's devs explained that the trading system was set up to prevent abuse from bots and users with multiple accounts. However, after receiving feedback from players, the developers have acknowledged that the system prevents players from "casually enjoying" the trading system. In addition to promising to distribute more Trade Tokens, the developers are also looking into other ways to improve the system.
