The Sims Legacy Collection is out now on Steam, giving fans the chance to pick up and play the first game with ease. Well, "with ease" might not be the best way to put it, because everyone forgot how bloody difficult it is.
Whether it's your appliances falling apart, your Sim being too depressed to do anything, or setting your entire house on fire when you try to make breakfast, the first Sims game was a constant struggle to get anything done. Unsurprisingly, it's all the fires that are taking everyone by surprise right now. The fire mechanics in the first Sims game have long been considered far too punishing, as it can be incredibly hard to get your characters to respond to it appropriately and avoid death.
