Superhero Game Project G.G. May Be Shelved As Platinum Removes It From Its Website

PlatinumGames was once among the cream of the crop when it came to videogame developers. With the likes of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Nier: Automata, and the Bayonetta series to its name, it looked like the studio could do no wrong. Unfortunately, things haven't been quite the same since 2020's Babylon's Fall.

I hope the future of Platinum doesn't leave behind what makes it so special.

The live service game was so universally panned that it was shut down within six months. One could even think of it as the starting point of the live service downfall we've seen over the last few years. It seems Platinum is keen to move on from it, as a website update has seen mentions of the game, along with a few others, removed. The most notable of these omissions is Project G.G.

Project G.G. was announced via a teaser trailer five years ago. It featured what was supposed to be a superhero that could grow in size to battle other enormous foes.
