Capcom Million-Seller List Updated, As Resident Evil 4 Remake Passes 9M Units Sold

Capcom has updated its "Platinum Titles" list -- games that have hit one million units sold, and has provided a sales update on some of the publisher's most high-profile releases.

The critically-acclaimed Resident Evil 4 remake is heading the list, which has now hit 9.2 million units sold. While the horror remake was released in 2023, it continues to sell well, snagging over 1.2 million sales since September 2024.

Capcom's Platinum Titles Get Updated With More Multi-Million Sellers

Check out the list, which tallies sales numbers from Capcom (via Gematsu) as of December 31, 2024.

As you can see, the list consists mainly of Resident Evil and Monster Hunter games, which is to be expected, given the mass-market appeal of the two brands.

Interestingly enough, Street Fighter 6's sales seem to have slowed down significantly, managing only 300,000, though it's sitting at 4.4 million units sold in total, which isn't bad for a fighting game.

As for the future of Resident Evil, Capcom has confirmed RE9 is in development, though hasn't said anything about that since then. We are hoping that more news about it will be revealed this year. Another development in the brand...
