Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season 2 begins this week, bringing with it a good amount of new content for the shooter.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season 2 begins on February 11th. It was announced on Twitter that the Season will launch on all platforms simultaneously. On day one, two new multiplayer maps will be released: Rust, which returns from 2009's Modern Warfare 2, as well as a new map called Atlas Superstore. A new map called Zhokov Boneyard will be released for Ground War. Gunfight will receive a new map called Bazaar, with more unnamed maps also being released at the start of Season 2. The new multiplayer modes include Gunfight Tournaments and the CDL Playlist. The new Operator will be Ghost, who appeared in Modern Warfare 2. The two new guns that will be available are the Grau 5.56 and the Striker 45.

Coming later in the Season is a new multiplayer map called Khandor Hideout. There will be two new operators, Talon and Mace. There will also be a number of new multiplayer modes, including Infected Ground War, Gunfight Variants, NVG Reinforce, and more. There will also be a new weapon, though the weapon is branded as "classified" at the moment.

Modern Warfare's Season 2 will feature a 100-tier Battle Pass, similar to what was seen in Season 1. The Battle Pass will feature plenty of unlockable content for free, though that content can also be purchased in order to save time. A Battle Pass Bundle will be available that allows players to skip 20 Tiers, which unlocks a bit of content right away without having to play the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A new Call of Duty has been confirmed for this year, though not much is known about the upcoming title at this point.
