Dragon Ball FighterZ will begin its third Season soon, which will include a new FighterZ Pass and a new gameplay mechanic.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 will kickoff this month with the release of the third FighterZ pass. Two characters have been announced for the DLC Pass: Dragon Ball Super's Kefla and Ultra Instinct Goku. Kefla will be released on February 28th, while Ultra Instinct Goku will release in Spring of 2020. A gameplay trailer was released for the two, showing them in action. Kefla, a fusion of two Saiyan warriors named Kale and Caulifla, will use many of the energy attacks that she utilized in the anime, especially the ones that she used when she battled Goku. Ultra Instinct Goku will be the seventh version of Goku in FighterZ. In this form, Goku's mind and body act separately, allowing him to dodge enemy attacks with ease. The gameplay trailer shows Ultra Instinct Goku easily dodging enemy attacks, though it is unknown at the moment how this mechanic will fully work.

It was also shown that the third FighterZ Pass will feature another three characters after Kefla and Ultra Instinct Goku. They will be revealed at a later time. The Pass does not have a price at the moment, though that should be revealed soon as Kefla comes out late this month.

Also announced for Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 is a new gameplay mechanic called the "Z Assist Select" system. Normally, all characters have one assist move that they are able to use in battle. With this new system, all characters will have three assist moves, one of which is chosen in the character select screen. This means that players will be able to choose assist attacks that fit with their team, adding more depth to team-building.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Season 3 will begin on all four platforms simultaneously.
