Released in October 2024, Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is a bonafide commercial hit. The publisher announced today that software sales have reached five million units sold (sold, not shipped).
The announcement was sent out via a press release, where Bandai Namco also sent out an image of Goku and Vegeta about to clash as they thanked the players.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Sales Now At 5 Million Units Sold
Bandai Namco didn't provide a breakdown of the sales numbers, so we're left to guess which platform the game sold the most.
Developed by Spike Chunsoft, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is the latest entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. Running on the Unreal Engine 5, Sparking Zero featured an astounding 182 characters at launch, with more added as DLC.
Speaking of DLC, the first one, "Hero of Justice," was released last month and added 11 new characters, new costumes, and more. There's more on the way, as Bandai Namco has also released a Season Pass trailer that teased characters for DLC 2.
