Nintendo has confirmed that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokemon Legends: Z-A will still launch in 2025 and won’t face any delays, even though both games still lack a solid release date.
The status of Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Legends: Z-A is something fans have been unsure about for a while now, even though they’re set to be two of the biggest Nintendo Switch exclusives of 2025.
Metroid Prime 4 was announced in 2017 and only received a proper trailer in 2024, meaning fans are primed for more delays. Meanwhile, Pokemon Legends: Z-A was announced on Pokemon Day 2024, and there haven’t been any updates since.
Thankfully, in Nintendo’s January 2025 financial quarter report for investors, the company confirmed that both Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Legends: Z-A will launch in 2025.

Pokemon fans only learned about Legends: Z-A a year ago, so a delay for that title wouldn’t be the end of the world. It’s more that the franchise has faced a huge content drought, with the mobile games doing a lot of heavy lifting.
