Niantic has announced the Scattered to the Winds event for Pokemon Go, which not only introduces new Shiny ‘Mons to the mobile game, but will significantly boost the Gift limit.
Gifts are one of the most frustrating mechanics to interact with in Pokemon Go, simply due to how slow it is to use them. The game badly needs a way to open all Gifts at once, similar to Pokemon TCG Pocket’s ten packs at once option.
One of Pokemon Go’s upcoming events will be about creatures that fly, as Scattered to the Winds will run from Tuesday, February 18, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Pokemon Go’s Scattered To The Winds Bumps Up The Gift Limit
The main attraction of Scattered to the Winds is that Scatterbug, Spewpa, and Vivillon will all make their Shiny debuts. There will also be a boosted chance of encountering a Shiny Pidgey in the wild. Those who pin postcards received from Gifts can encounter more Scatterbug, with a boosted Shiny rate.
