Two games are on the way from Stardew Valley's developer, ConcernedApe.

Developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone announced that he is working on two new games. The games will be set in the same universe as Stardew Valley, though things are not completely set in stone at the moment. Barone made the announcement on Twitter after a fan asked him if he was working on a new game in the same universe as Stardew Valley.

"Yes, I'm actually working on a couple of new projects," Barone replied. "One takes place in the world of Stardew Valley, but is not a farming game. The other, I'm not 100% sure about the world yet, but it will tie into Stardew Valley in some way."

Soon after the news broke that he was working on two games attached to Stardew Valley, Barone quickly sent more tweets telling fans not to get their expectations up too high just yet.

"I see this blowing up and there are articles coming out, etc... all I ask is please don't get too hyped at this stage. I want to avoid too much hype or speculation. I'd just like to make whatever games comes naturally to me without too much pressure or expectation."

"I'm not setting out to make the next indie smash hit, I just want to make another game that I enjoy an am happy with. And to share some of my art & ideas with the world. If it becomes popular, I will be happy, but it's not my focus."

Other than the fact that the games are not farming simulators, not much is known about Barone's upcoming projects. According to IGN, both games will be single-player, and be top-down with pixel art styles. One of the games will have twice the detail of Stardew Valley.

Stardew Valley is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. The game has been a huge success, and has sold over 10 million copies since its release.
